Our Founder

Waqar started in the security industry as a teenager following the footsteps of his father and older brother, an amateur boxer - who had worked in the private security industry. He trained under former Special Air Service (SAS) bodyguarding instructor Brian Tough QGM and eventually under Nick McCarthy, founder of the British Bodyguard Association (BBA).

 

His career highlights include providing close protection and protective surveillance to an international football star and his family and working as a personal protection officer (PPO) for high net-worth (HNW) and  ultra-high net-worth (UHNW) corporate executives.

In 2019, he founded World-class Security initially for his work in close protection though soon branching out to the media, retail, hospitality, corporate and events sectors (amongst others).

 

He previously completed a bachelor's degree in law, a master's degree and training in various aspects of legal practice. He is often instructed by private clients to gather intelligence; procure evidence; and to conduct analysis on high-profile public and private entities.
