A door supervisor killed whilst working in Levenshulme has been identified as Harrison Marvin. Affectionately referred to as the ' dancing doorman', Mr. Marvin lost his life after a brawl broke out on Rushmere Avenue last Sunday evening (July 9).

Samuel Obokiti, 29, of Rushmere Avenue in Levenshulme, has been charged with his murder. Mr Obokiti has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester magistrates court on Wednesday July 12th.

Mr Martin's friends and colleagues have been paying tribute to him and saying how he had the "best smile" after his unexpected death. They also mentioned that he got his nickname, the Dancing Doorman, from working at bars in and around Stockport, southeast of Manchester.

After Sunday's attack, a police cordon was put up on part of Rushmere Avenue. They taped off several terraced houses along the road. People living on the street said they were completely shocked as detectives swarmed the area to start their investigations over the weekend.

According to Greater Manchester Police, a 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and the investigation is still ongoing.
